Gippy Grewal : The versatile Gippy Grewal has tried his hands in production and has aced it. Humble Motion Pictures, the banner under which Ardaas and Manje Bistre have been released are actually his home production.

Earlier than this his home production was Gurfateh Films, named after his younger son. Lucky Di Unlucky Story which came under Gurfateh banner was a total laughter riot and did well at the box office.

Badshah: Aditya Prateek Singh also ventured into production with the movie Ardaas. He was so sure of Gippy Grewal’s project that he chose to invested his money in the project.

His name was mentioned everywhere as the producer but because it was his real name Aditya, no one could actually realise that it's Badshah.

Diljit Dosanjh : This man just focuses on his acting and singing but the single that he had released recently 'Do You Know' , which was shot in Hollywood, was from his own production house Famous Studios.

The actor has enough producers to invest on him ao maybe that's the reason not many other projects came in from his home production.

Neeru Bajwa: Just when we thought that Neeru Bajwa is taking a break from the industry, she came back with a bang. A couple of years ago Neeru did Proper Patola and even featured in Jassi Gill’s song. It made us wonder why this actress is doing something which is just not her type?

Maybe she was also facing dearth of work at that time. She came back with a bang with a women centric movie 'Channo' under her own banner “Neeru Bajwa Entertainment”. Well, maybe she took this step because producers weren’t interested in investing in a women centric movie. But this is not the first time that she ventured into production. Years ago Diljit Dosanjh, Neeru Bajwa and Gurdas Maan collaborated for a production house named "Fresh Air movies” . Things probably didn’t work out well because we didn't see any release making it's way from this trio's production house.

Jimmy Sheirgill : The man who played a vital role in picking up the Punjabi film industry wanted to give it back to his soil by venturing into movies. Jimmy confesses that he wanted to pay back to his soil and wanted the industry to grow and that was the major reason he started investing in Punjabi movies.

Jimmy produced Rangeelay, Saadi Love Story and Dharti , but he took a back step later. The reason why he didn’t want to produce more movies was that he realized that production is a full time job and it is not easy to do it while you are acting in the same movie. He still wants to do it but only when he can totally concentrate on it.

Surveen Chawla turned producer but in Bollywood. After her sensational performance in Hate Story 2 she had shut many doors for herself in Punjabi cinema.

In Bollywood she produced Nil Battey Sanata, a movie which gave us food for thought. We look forward to Surveen coming back to Punjabi industry as an actor or a producer.

Tarsem Jassar : Galwakdi singer made his debut into acting with Rabb Da Radio, but do you know that he was also the producer of this movie?

Yes, Tarsem had invested his money in his debut film and we got to know it when we interviewed Many Takhar and she claimed that this was the reason why the film's trailer was all about Mr.Jassar

Jaggi Singh : The famous villain who was seen in Faraar, Mirza and Hero Naam Yaad Rakhi wanted to be in this industry because it was his passion.

Gurdas Media Works

He ventured into production with Manje Bistre and when we asked him why, he told us that he wanted to be here in the industry for long and make good cinema.

Mahie Gill : Mahie Gill turned producer with the 2016 release Aatishbaazi Ishq which starred Roshan Prince, Mahie Gill and debut actor Ravinder.

The film was about love turned into madness and was directed by Amit Dhawan. Though Mahie had high hopes of her debut production but the film couldn't really manage to create any box office wonders.

Roshan Prince : Roshan Prince started his production house Yabblee records in the year 2015 when he released a track called 'Dil Darda'.

After this he went on to invest in his own film titled 'Main Teri Tu Mera' under his production house Yabblee entertainment. The film managed to gather a fairly low box office revenue.
