Some days, you simply have to put the books aside and head outside. These nature crafts are the perfect accompaniment to a stroll in the great outdoors. Pick up the items you need, then make some amazing crafts for play or display!


There is no right or wrong answer - only opinions. If such artwork provokes you into examining your own views of life, mortality, and nature, then perhaps it has served a constructive purpose indeed!

Seashell Art

Collect seashells from the beach and use them to create mosaics or sculptures. Arrange the shells in patterns or use them to depict scenes like ocean waves or animals.


Natural Dyeing

Experiment with natural dyes made from plants, fruits, and vegetables to create vibrant fabrics or papers. Try using ingredients like turmeric, onion skins, beetroot, or spinach to achieve different colors.



Find big leaves to make prints.

Head outside and grab the biggest leaves you can find. Then, add a variety of paints to create brilliant multi-hued leaf prints on a sheet of paper, canvas or cloth.


Play with stick fairies.

How cute are these? Make a whole family of stick fairies and put on a puppet show about all their adventures. You can use maple leaves for wings and a wooden or tree bark for body.


Crown yourself the queen or king of nature.

Simply cut strip from the paper bag that will fit around heads. Cut another strip of the same length, but this time cut one side straight and one side in whatever pattern that youโ€™d like to appear along the top edge of the crown (like zigzag cut in picture). Now you can decorate with flowers, beads , or anything that attract kids.


Dress up in a nature bracelet.

Some of the best nature crafts are so easy: Simply make a bracelet of masking tape, sticky side facing out. Then, stick flowers, leaves, berries, and more to it to make a stunning nature bracelet!


Imprint clay with natural items

Press leaves, flowers, twigs, and more into clay to make intricate impressions. When the clay is dry, paint them for the finishing touch. This is another one of those nature crafts that makes great gifts


Play a game of tic-tac-toe with rocks

Take this beloved game outside when you make a board and playing pieces with items found in nature. Collect rocks/ stones with flat surface, paint with different colors. Then separate the painted rocks into 2 groups- paint O and X with black color on painted rocks. Play and have fun!


Test your memory

Take a nature walk and gather two of every item. Then place them into small boxes with lids, and play a game of memory. So fun!


Press flowers and leaves to make bookmarks

Take a nature walk and  pick some small flowers and leaves. Press your flowers and leaves by placing them inside the pages of a thick book for 3-4 days Cut some cardstock for bookmark. Use your pressed flowers and leaves to make a design on your cardstock and attach with glue.


Light up nature luminaries

Take a plastic jug/bottle ,cut the top. Measure the contact paper with plastic jug's lenth and cut it . Take a walk in nature collect different leaves rinse and dry. Stick leaves to contact paper. Put a flameless light inside. That's it your luminary is ready.


Display a bouquet of pine cone roses.

Paint pinecones with different colors . Cut twigs pieces into 7-9 inches. Glue pinecones on top of twigs . Cut and paint leaves and Glue them around pinecones. Stick your finished flowers in a vase and admire your handiwork!



Natural collages

Collect natural materials, such as leaves, flowers, seeds, and twigs. Arrange the materials on a piece of paper or canvas to create a collage. You can use glue or Mod Podge to adhere the materials to the surface.
